On 2 March 2024, Binance charity, the philanthropic branch of the leading blockchain platform Binance, announced that it joined forces with the Children of Heroes Foundation.
Under the collaborative efforts, Binance will help the Ukrainian kids who lost their parents in the Russia vs Ukraine conflict.
Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance Regional Head for CEE & Central Asia, said that Binance is deeply committed to supporting initiatives that provide love, security, and hope to every child.
The Binance executive also said that they believe that by alleviating their suffering, they contribute to creating a brighter future, not only for Ukraine but for the global community.
Binance vs US & Nigeria
Since mid-2023, Binance’s American subsidiary has been under huge hurdles in the US jurisdiction. However, the Binance team settled the case with a $4.3 billion fine with the US authorities but its battle against the American securities regulatory body is active.
Just a month ago, two Binance executives were arrested by the Nigerian authorities. Reportedly Nigerian police failed to talk on this matter officially, in response the Binance team took help from crypto advocacy groups to put pressure on the Nigerian authorities to release the arrested executives with proper legal proceedings.
