A new expansion is coming soon to Gods Unchained! Titled Tides of Fate, this expansion combines nautical themes with new cards, a new keyword, and even a chance for players to influence the final stats of two cards through a community event!
The Gods Unchained team mentioned an upcoming expansion when they announced ‘Season Two‘ of their well-known TCG game. Now we have some more details. Known as Tides of Fate, this expansion will have plenty of new cards, a new keyword, and will even have two cards that are affected by player decisions!
Set to launch on October 25th, at 11am AET, Tides of Fate includes 142 new cards, including 12 new legendary cards!
More About Tides of Fate
Included with this expansion is a new keyword, Manasurge. Manasurge will trigger after the controlling player spends the listed amount of mana in one turn.
We’ll also see the introduction of two new factions into the lore, the Draka and the Sartonian. The Draka ride dragons and while the Sartonian pilot powerful Atlantean mechs. These two factions do not like each other very much, and that conflict will be affected by which sides the players choose, and ultimately will determine the final stats of two new Hero cards!
This will happen through a community event that occurs in five phases, or skirmishes. Players choose a faction and receive the two Hero cards. Every few weeks there will be a new faction skirmish, and the player wins will be counted towards whichever faction they are pledge towards. The winning faction will find themselves immortalized on the card back for the Heroes, and the cards themselves will change as well.
In addition, Tides of Fate will include new card recipes that can only be crafted by the players! Expect to see more details on all of these features over the next two weeks. What is Gods Unchained?
Gods Unchained is a free-to-play, collectible card game. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, Gods Unchained uses the Immutable X layer-2 solution for gas-free trading. Players retain full ownership over their cards. Players can earn digital ‘Core’ cards by playing the game. When a player has two identical Core cards, they can mint these into one blockchain-based card. That card is then tradeable on the markets.
Gods Unchained offers several play and earn opportunities. Players gain cards by being active players, win packs while competing in the weekend tournaments, and can earn GODS tokens simply by playing every day!
With several expansions its belt, Gods Unchained has a wide variety of cards for different playstyles. Players can buy and open packs from the official site. Secondary sales are available on the Immutable X Marketplace and Token Trove.
