Is It Worth Buying Test (TST) Token On Binance? Does CZ Support It?

Binance crypto exchange lists $TST token, even though Binance co-founder clarified that the token was not backed by Binance or any Binance official.

Introduction: Test ($TST) is a new meme token in the crypto space that grabbed popularity among Chinese crypto investors. This token was randomly created by a BNB chain community member to test the launch of a new token by a BNB chain team member.

Origin of Test ($TST) Token

On 6 Feb 2025, Binance co-founder & former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) shared the full story around the $TST token. He said that a BNB chain community member minted a new token, $TST, a random name, to create a demo video for people to use four.meme platform.
This token was only for education purposes or we can say a tutorial on how to issue a new token using four.meme platform, but the name of the demo token was disclosed in the video, and the Chinese community KOL started promoting this token. Within 24 hours this token secured a market cap of $494.5k.

When BNB chain community members came to know about this thing, they deleted the video, to confirm that the token was only for testing purposes, not trading or any kind of business purpose.
Because of the crypto community’s interest in this token, Binance co-founder CZ stepped into this matter & ordered to re-post that tutorial video again. But at the same time, CZ said that his intention was not to endorse any token or give financial advice, instead, support what the community wants.

Official Test ($TST) Website & X Account

One day later, CZ realised that there was a dedicated website & X account for this crypto token, but none of them were backed by the Binance exchange or the BNB chain team.
CZ noted that someone in the crypto community contributed to this test token project to increase people’s interest, but he urged the website owner not to use the Binance logo because Binance doesn’t control it.
Furthermore, Binance’s former CEO suggested the community use Binance tested something like a logo to keep unethical promotion & misuse of the Binance logo away.

Binance Lists the $Tst Token

On 9 Feb 2025, the Binance crypto exchange listed the Test ($TST) token. Once again, CZ said that he was not promoting this token, instead informing the crypto community about the actual history behind the token to keep misleading information away.

CZ tried to explain his point of view on this token in more depth to clarify how things work. He explained that meme tokens are just for fun & have nothing to do with real use cases and also confirmed that he is neither against nor not supportive of these meme tokens.

Furthermore, Binance co-founder also suggested people work on real projects because such types of developments are proof that people are ready to invest money, but a project needs to deliver good things.

Is It Worth Buying a $TST Token

The current trade price of the $TST token is $0.24 & this price level is 886% higher than the launch price of this token.
