JPMorgan’s JPM Coin Shows Zero Supply on Ethereum (ETH) After Oct. 19 Launch

Zero Supply on JPMD’s Ethereum Contract

JPMorgan’s deposit token has been live on Ethereum ($ETH) since Oct. 19, and the contract data so far reads a flat zero. As of Oct. 22, the Ethereum deployment of JPM Coin (JPMD) showed zero circulating supply and zero recorded transfers, with exactly one allowlisted address registered in the verified smart contract. The bank, whose shares trade under JPMorgan (JPM), opened the token to approved institutional clients on the network that day, extending a rollout that began in November 2025 on Base, Coinbase’s Layer 2 network. The Base contract tells a quieter version of the same story: about 1,001,000 tokens held across two addresses, unchanged since Nov. 20, 2025. JPM Coin is a tokenized claim on dollar deposits held at the bank, and its structure differs from an open stablecoin: the contract sits on a public blockchain, but only approved customer addresses can receive the token. Sentora, the on-chain research firm behind the review published Oct. 23, notes that an address count measures registered addresses, not customers or actual users, and that a standing supply figure cannot capture payments where issuance and redemption happen within the same day. In plain terms, supply is the amount of a token outstanding at a given moment, so the zero balance describes the Ethereum ($ETH) contract’s state on Oct. 22 rather than everything JPM Coin does across networks. The unchanged Base balance also does not rule out earlier transfers, since the review reports a snapshot rather than a full transfer history for that network. The Oct. 19 announcement cited Ethereum’s tokenized asset and liquidity base as the reason for expansion, but an announcement and actual issuance are separate stages, and JPMorgan has not disclosed issuance or transaction volumes for the new deployment. The launch landed while Ethereum price discussion this week has centered on institutional flows rather than new rails.

JLTXX Records $400 Million in Redemptions

Sentora’s published research adds the second data point, and this one shows movement. Its contract-level analysis put $400 million in redemptions on the Ethereum ($ETH) deployment of JLTXX, a tokenized money market fund from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, across Oct. 21 and Oct. 22. Over the same two days, the fund’s Solana deployment climbed from effectively zero to $450 million. The pairing is suggestive rather than conclusive: one figure is a redemption flow, the other a standing deployment size, and the data does not tie individual investors to both sides of the move. The product context arrived on Oct. 22, when the asset manager announced that JLTXX and its My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) were open to qualified U.S. investors on Solana, with subscriptions and redemptions handled through the firm’s Morgan Money platform. JLTXX is described in that announcement as a U.S. registered government money market fund built to support stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act. “Our clients operate across more than one network, and their liquidity should too,” said Paul Przybylski, who leads product, digital and tokenized assets at the firm. MONY, a private placement launched in December 2025, carries a $1 million minimum, fees of 16 basis points, and a portfolio of U.S. Treasury securities and Treasury-backed repurchase agreements targeting a $1 net asset value per share outside Rule 2a-7. Investors need their own blockchain addresses to hold the tokens, peer-to-peer transfers are restricted to clients, and official shareholder records stay off-chain with SS&C as transfer agent. JPMorgan’s materials also note that interests in the funds are not bank accounts and carry no Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insurance. The same briefing found no live on-chain integration connecting JPM Coin with the bank’s funds or decentralized finance protocols.
