The arrangement positions MoneyGram as a core validator within Tempo’s remittance network, enabling the integration of traditional remittance flows with blockchain infrastructure. The partnership aims to leverage distributed ledger technology to streamline cross-border payment settlement and validation processes.
As an anchor validator, MoneyGram will participate in validating transactions on Tempo’s blockchain network dedicated to remittance operations. This role grants MoneyGram direct involvement in the consensus and verification mechanisms underlying Tempo’s platform, giving the legacy payments company exposure to decentralized network infrastructure while maintaining compliance with existing regulatory frameworks.
