NoOnes enters withdrawal only mode after EU sanctions listing

NoOnes has entered withdrawal-only mode weeks after telling users that an EU sanctions listing named a separate company and did not affect the platform or its operator.

The crypto platform strongly recommended that customers remove their full balances no later than Sunday, Aug. 23. That date was, however, not a stated platform shutdown cutoff. NoOnes said users will continue to be able to sign in, view balances, withdraw funds and contact support while it helps them remove their money.

Aug. 23 also has separate legal significance. The EU regulation adds “NoOnecrypto INC.” to Annex XLV Part A from that date under a framework prohibiting direct or indirect transactions with listed non-EU financial, crypto-asset and payment-service entities. The text does not name the NoOnes brand or identify its current operator.

NoOnes says its remaining withdrawal routes are regular Bitcoin over the Bitcoin network and USDT over Tron through TRC-20. It warned that a receiving exchange or service may delay, reject or restrict a transfer and advised customers to confirm acceptance before sending funds.

Why NoOnes changed course

In an earlier sanctions clarification, NoOnes called NoOnecrypto INC. a separate legal entity with no connection to the platform’s management or operation. It said neither NoOnes nor its current operator was named, operations were normal and users did not need to act.

The later wind-down notice said NoOnes had been unable to resolve or remove sanctions affecting the platform. The company attributed its closure to losing essential partners and to blockchain-monitoring providers classifying NoOnes-related wallets and transactions as high risk.

Bitget warned that direct or indirect transactions involving entities on the new EU list, including NoOnecrypto INC., could face enhanced review, rejection or account restrictions. Chainalysis separately said it had labeled the listed entities in its products. Those notices show compliance controls around the EU-listed company, but neither identifies NoOnes’s current operator or documents which partners stopped serving the platform.

NoOnes said its wind-down began Aug. 17 and its P2P marketplace closed Aug. 21 at 11:59 p.m. UTC. Bitcoin Lightning, every USDT network except TRC-20, Swap, Visa, crypto off-ramps, gift cards, partner payouts and new registrations were among the services closed.

Accounts already on hold cannot withdraw immediately. NoOnes said it will move those accounts to banned status, blocking trading but allowing users to sign in and withdraw available funds once each change is completed.

The company said it served more than 2.5 million users over more than three years. It has not said when withdrawal-only access will end.
