nWay, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is gearing up to release “Wreck League,” an innovative mech fighting game built on NFTs. In this exciting game, players can assemble their mechs using collectible NFT parts, offering an astounding 1.5 quadrillion possible combinations. The game is set to launch in the coming weeks and will be available in both Web3 and Web2 versions.

Building Unique Mechs with NFT Parts

“Wreck League” introduces a thrilling concept that revolves around NFT-powered mechs. Players will need to mint a mech NFT, consisting of 10 mech parts found in boxes accessible to those on the Wreck League allowlist. With these collectible parts, players can customize and rearrange their mechs to create a truly unique and formidable robotic character.

In the Web3 version of the game, players will require an Ethereum-compatible wallet to participate. However, for those who prefer a non-blockchain experience, a free-to-play Web2 version will be available on various platforms, including iOS. In the Web2 version, players can purchase non-NFT copies of mechs created on the blockchain, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the original mech owners.

Yuga Labs’ Collections in the Game

As part of the game’s first season, nWay and Animoca Brands have collaborated with Yuga Labs to incorporate four of their popular NFT collections into “Wreck League.” Players will encounter characters from Yuga Lab’s canonical universe, including Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and Otherside Kodas. This licensing agreement adds depth and excitement to the game’s narrative.

Competing for On-Chain Prizes

“Wreck League” offers players the chance to compete for on-chain prizes, including valuable mech parts and booster boxes with various rarities. With these enticing rewards, players will strive to build the ultimate mech and dominate the arena. The game’s competitive aspect adds an engaging element, further fueling the excitement surrounding its upcoming launch.
