The first phase of land gameplay comes to Phantom Galaxies! Planet owners now have an opportunity to send a drone to scan their planet, and also receive exclusive access to a new mini-game that lets them earn ASTRAFER tokens! Known as Ceres Quadrant, this Planet-centric gameplay is available now, with many more expansions planned by the Phantom Galaxies team.
Phantom Galaxies brings us a new experience aimed at Planet owners known as Ceres Quadrant. In Ceres Quadrant, those holding Planet NFTs for Phantom Galaxies can send drones on Recon missions to their planet, and complete weekly missions to earn ASTRAFER tokens.
Recon missions take 15 weeks to complete. At the end the planet holder receives a mintpass for a Gen-2 Planet (mint date not yet announced). The Gen-2 Mintpass will be for the same size Planet as the Gen-1 that was reconned.
In addition, there is also a ‘check-in’ mini-game. This game requires players to pilot their ship through an asteroid field, much like the classic Asteroids game. Players can complete the assigned mini-game task and earn ASTRAFER tokens on a weekly basis. And for those Planet owners who don’t want to deal with the mini-game, Ceres Quadrant even offers an option to allow a different wallet to play on your behalf!
Phantom Galaxies Planets
But this is all just the beginning. Phantom Galaxies wants to expand Ceres into a exploration and resource gathering game. Each generative Planet will consist of a number of hexagonal tiles of varying types and traits. Players can explore, build, and harvest resources from their Planets. And this will eventually connect to the wider galaxy.
Don’t own a Phantom Galaxies planet? No worries! The mint for Gen-1 planets is still open! You can pick up a Mintpass on Open Sea, and mint your very own planet on the Phantom Galaxies site. Prices range from 155 USDC for a small asteroid to 5.5 ETH for a medium planet (the large planets are sold out). Additionally, you can use Catalyst NFTs during the mint if you want to guide some of the trait selections for your new planet.
What is Phantom Galaxies?
Phantom Galaxies is story-based, FPS, MMORPG set in a future of space travel and planet colonization. Players follow the storyline quests, fight pirates, and upgrade their character and starships along the way. Phantom Galaxies includes starship piloting and fighting, as well as walkable, 3D space stations where most of the NPC interactions occur.
Players will own their own Starfighters in the form of NFTs. They will also use equipment and fusion NFTs to upgrade their fighters. Phantom Galaxies is currently in open beta. They recently added a bounty system, daily and weekly quests were players can earn experience and Credits.
The Phantom Galaxies team has plans for many other features, including arena PvP, PvE raids, crafting, and even potential permanent loss of Starfighter NFTs (in certain zones)!
