‘Tis the token season! More token releases are coming, with perhaps one of the biggest being MOCA, the official ecosystem token for the Mocaverse and Animoca Brands. But unless you have Moca NFTs, you will need some codes to reserve your token lots. Read on to learn how!
Animoca Brands, one of the biggest players and investors in the web3 gaming scene, announced their upcoming sale for MOCA tokens. We don’t know much about the utility of the MOCA tokens, but with Animoca Brands behind it, they are sure to have some ongoing value moving forward.
Interested investors have a number of ways to get access to this sale. There are two basic codes, Guaranteed Codes, and Waitlist Codes. Guaranteed Codes are reserved for Moca NFT Holders. Each NFT allows you to reserve 3 lots of tokens. Additionally, NFT holders will receive 3 bonus Waitlist Codes. Users can also generate Waitlist Codes by crafting with Shards, up to 30 per Moca ID and Realm Ticket Holders can connect their wallets to receive code airdrops. And for those with deep pockets, there will also be a ‘Whale Allocation’, with a minimum investment of at least $100k USD!
Note: All Shards will be burnt after this crafting event, so there is no reason to hold on to them.

For this sale, each lot holds 2,539 tokens and cost $100, payable with USDT or USDC. This Community Public Sale includes 126,984,127 MOCA tokens, out of a total supply of 8,888,888,888.
Buyers will not receive their tokens immediately. Instead, there will be a vesting schedule, with 5% of the purchased tokens unlocked at the token generation event (TGE), and the rest vesting over the next 15 months. Interested buyers must possess a Moca ID and pass identity verification (KYC).

Unfortunately, this sale is not open to residents of Canada, U.K., and the U.S (among others). And with KYC required, just using a VPN won’t help you circumvent these country restrictions. Supposedly, the team is working out plans to airdrop tokens to all MOCA holders, so perhaps people in the banned countries won’t be completely left out.
