TRON’s 15 billion milestone meets fading buy pressure – Can TRX’s $0.332 fall?

TRON [TRX] remained one of crypto’s most resilient major tokens, trading near $0.328 at press time. That placed TRX roughly 26% below its December 2024 all-time high [ATH] of $0.44. Reclaiming that peak would require a 34% rally.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin [BTC] remained almost 50% below its $126,000 record.

TRX’s relative strength coincided with expanding network usage and TRON’s dominance in stablecoin settlement.

Why is TRON activity rising?

The network was experiencing explosive growth in terms of activity.

For instance, TRON’s Cumulative Transactions reached 15.01 billion on the 4th of August, according to TRONSCAN. The platform attributed recent growth mainly to increased TRX transfers.

Average network transactions reached approximately 12.13 million daily. However, daily TRX transfers averaged around 4.73 million during July.

More analysis pointed out that the TRC20-USDT supply had surpassed the $90.20 billion threshold. This means 49% of all USDT in circulation was on the TRON Network, ahead of Ethereum’s [ETH] 41%, equivalent to $74.6 billion.

Moreover, the transfer volume of TRC20-USDT exceeded $717 billion in July alone. This explains why TRON is the primary settlement layer for global stablecoin liquidity in crypto.

This highlighted the network’s sustained on-chain economic activity across payments, trading, DeFi, and settlement. In fact, active addresses transferring USDT on the network peaked at 32.59 million in July.

All this USDT performance on TRON came from a total of 75.37 million accounts and 72.88 million transfers. But apart from network activity, there was capital injection from institutions.

For instance, Nasdaq-listed treasury firm Tron Inc. acquired 150,890 TRX tokens at an average cost of $0.3314. This brought their total holdings to 708.4 million TRX as the firm aims to enhance shareholder value.

Is a breakout imminent as TRX price action contracts?

TRX traded inside a tightening symmetrical triangle after retreating from its May peak.

A confirmed break above approximately $0.332 could strengthen the bullish setup. By contrast, losing the triangle’s lower boundary could extend the correction.

Bull Bear Power stood marginally negative at -0.0012, reflecting weak bearish pressure.

Meanwhile, Cumulative Volume Delta fell by approximately 3.78 million TRX. This indicated that market selling exceeded buying during the latest session.

Therefore, TRX approached a decisive technical point while network usage remained strong.

Stablecoin activity supported its broader resilience. Price direction, however, still depended on which side broke the triangle first.

Final Summary

  • TRON’s Cumulative Transactions surpassed 15 billion as TRC20-USDT activity remained elevated.
  • TRX approached a triangle breakout, although BBP and CVD reflected mild selling pressure.
