Our partnership with Kintsugi is heating up! On the heels of their announcement to join Japan’s $1B DigiDen Digital City Garden Initiative, we’re planning and strategizing with Kintsugi to DNS-enable .Anime and .Manga Web3 domains by applying the gTLDs during the next ICANN initiative. If the application is successful, this will be a significant step forward towards integrating traditional Web2 functionalities into our portfolio of Web3 domains.
Kintsugi is well-known for offering anime fans innovative ways to engage with their favorite shows and characters. Building on our successful partnership that launched .Anime and .Manga domains, we are now working together on a strategy to plan for an application with ICANN on acquiring the gTLD equivalents. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of digital identity and online presence.
The key focus of this collaboration is to take another step towards DNS-enabling our Web3 TLDs through an application to ICANN. This initiative represents a significant effort to merge the familiar aspects of Web2—such as DNS capabilities—with the advanced, decentralized features of Web3.
