Illuvium, one of the most successful Web3 gaming studios in the space, has released its most substantial release yet – Illuvium: Overworld Private Beta 2. The new update looks to introduce some of the industry’s most advanced features and mechanics to a select few players.

Illuvium’s Most Significant Release Yet

Illuvium, a leading web3 gaming studio, has unveiled the second private beta round of its flagship open-world fantasy game, Illuvium: Overworld. Set to go live on May 18, the new update brings exciting features, mechanics, and Illuvials to the game, adding more to the Illuvium experience.

The Overworld Beta 2 update will deploy highly anticipated features, including Morphopods, the Overload mechanic, movement mechanics like Slide and Glide, and environment mechanics like Lilypad and Bubble.

Illuvium has also expanded its open-world map in the new update, allowing players to explore new regions and battle arenas, such as Abyssal Basin and Brightland Steppes. Besides the gameplay upgrades, Overworld Beta 2 will introduce over 30 new Illuvials, allowing players to collect and evolve their roster with these new creatures.

The private beta was previously accessible to 30,000 players; however, Illuvium is expanding to 75,000 users in the new update. Still, the gaming studio falls short of accommodating all two million registered beta users, who eagerly await entry to the game.

Players and influencers have been buzzing on social media about the new update, sharing their immense interest in the new game. The excitement, in particular, is evident in Illuvium’s native utility token ILV, which surged by 9%, rallying from $45.35 to $49.34, in anticipation of the new update.

The Illuvium: Overworld Beta 2 update will be the gaming studio’s most substantial release this year and will set the tone for the rest of 2023. Interestingly, Illuvium has hinted at a few more developments that will take place later this year.

Illuvium’s Plans for 2023

Given Axie Infinity’s recent success with listing its game on the Apple App Store, despite its rigorous screening process and controversial tax, Illuvium has shared that it plans to list its own mobile game, Illuvium: Zero, later this year.

The gaming studio has promised to roll out the open beta of all three of its games, Illuvium: Zero, Illuvium: Arena, and Illuvium: Overworld, before the end of this year. Once the open beta goes live, players can enjoy all the features, including trading NFTs, earning rewards, and more.
