TL;DR

  • If you don’t know who Craig Wright is – he’s an early proponent of bitcoin, who has very boldly claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

  • He’s trying to get 110k BTC back from the folks responsible for making Mt. Gox customers whole again, without being able to show any documentation that proves he ever owned them.

  • And right now, there’s a UK court filing that’s seeking to have Craig’s claim struck out on the ground that it is a fraudulent abuse of process.

Want some bitcoin gossip?

Here, have some bitcoin gossip!

If you don’t know who Craig Wright is – he’s an early proponent of bitcoin, who has very boldly claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Craig recently added to his list of bold claims when he said he lost 110,000 bitcoins when the Mt. Gox exchange collapsed back in 2014.

Now, on its own – that ain’t a bold statement.

…but trying to get some of those 110k BTC back from the folks responsible for making Mt. Gox customers whole again, without being able to show any documentation that proves he ever owned them?

That’s bold!

…that’s also, potentially, fraud.

And right now, there’s a UK court filing that’s seeking to have Craig’s claim struck out on the ground that it is a fraudulent abuse of process.

Anyways, that’s it. Now you know!

xoxo Gossip Girl.
